PAUL KELLEY - FINDING LILITH

Astrologers write books on just one planet, so what do you do when several things in a chart have the same name? Such is Lilith’s first challenge to astrologers. This lecture provides precise, clear information about the astronomy and astrological themes of the three Liliths most commonly used, and confused, by astrologers – the asteroid, the Dark Moon, and the Black Moon.

The timing of this presentation is especially apt because we are revisiting the mayhem of last summer’s eclipses. Learn how eclipses get reactivated through the year as part of their unfolding story.

Out of college and lacking direction, Paul Kelley purchased two astrology books, a mail-order chart interpretation and a reading, but was 41 before he began studying seriously. Over the next few years, he created a lifelong learning class and made friends at MAC and SOTA conferences. When informed of an NCGR chapter forming in Philadelphia, he got involved, and in 2014 was elected Vice-President. In 2017, he taught his first online class on Lilith and then presented it to the NCGR Philadelphia chapter.

KELLEY HUNTER - EROS AND THE EMOTIONAL ALCHEMY OF THE 2018 VENUS RETROGRADE

We have just completed the full retrograde circle of the 2018 Venus retrograde in Scorpio. The cycle of Venus is highly aesthetic. Every eight years, the Goddess of Love goes retrograde five times, drawing a five-pointed star around the zodiac. She continually revisits the same five places in our charts for re-evaluation and enrichment. The last descent into Libra-Scorpio is one of her deepest dives, stirring up spicy dynamics and dilemmas to cap off a rather wild year of multiple retrogrades and major planetary stations. We call upon the God Eros to help us further integrate the meaning of this process as we celebrate the Solstice and head into a New Year.

Kelley Hunter, Ph.D., is a seasoned Depth Astrologer and AstroMythologist. Her teaching and consultation work are informed by psychology, spirituality, creative processes, and a special interest in the Cosmic Feminine. Author of 3 books, most recently her Planetary Gods and Goddesses Coloring Book, she is published in numerous journals, including the Mountain Astrologer and the International Astrologer. She recently returned to Vermont, having lived a full nodal cycle in the Virgin Islands. There she led over 1001 star-gazing nights and provided astrological services through the Omega Institute Winter Program and Caneel Bay Resort.

DON CEROW - WHEN THE DRAGON WORE THE CROWN AND THE 8th SEAL

Mythology represents the roots of astrology. Long ago people realized that the skies authored their reality, making us subservient to their will. Having come to this conclusion they began to study the heavens with greater interest and in greater detail, but to do so meant they had to name different segments of the heavens in a standardized way, which they did pictorially, imparting what they learned through stories, poetry and song. Myths of Gilgamesh, the tales of Homer and even the Bible continue to carry these celestial secrets embedded in their story line.

Graduating Magna cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts in Classics in 1976, Don Cerow is a religious scholar, historian, mythographer and astronomer. Author of the groundbreaking IBIS PRESS titles When the Dragon Wore the Crown and The 8th Seal, Cerow's focus has been on the ancient mysteries and how they evolved from the study of the sky. In 2003 he reconstructed an early model of Stonehenge in a story picked up by the New York Times.
